Set the batch details

Use one currency and a consistent price basis. Changing the currency label does not convert values. Other costs are only the figure you enter.

Enter the original recipe amounts

Use decimals, 1/2 or 1 1/2 for quantities. Convert within g/kg or mL/L; item counts stay counts. Cups are not guessed from ingredient weights. Up to 50 ingredients.

TWO COSTS THAT ARE EASY TO CONFUSE

Amount used.

A recipe using one quarter of a pack receives one quarter of that pack’s price.

Pack purchase.

If you have no stock, buying one quarter of a pack may still require purchasing the whole pack.

One unit family.

Grams and kilograms can be compared. A gram amount and a millilitre pack require an ingredient density this tool does not invent.
