A SMALL TOOL WITH ONE JOB

About Batchcost.

Batchcost makes the ingredient share of a recipe’s costs explicit.

Enter your pack quantities, actual prices and recipe amounts. The calculator converts compatible quantity units, assigns a proportional cost to the amount used, and compares that with the whole ingredient packs needed if you start with no stock.

It can add one other-cost amount and divide the assigned batch total into equal portions. It does not invent prices, convert currencies, set a sale price, calculate tax or predict profit.

Free to use

There is no subscription, checkout or account. The calculator is part of an independently operated collection of free planning tools. Each site focuses on one calculation so its assumptions stay easy to inspect.

How the tool is maintained

The calculation method is described in the worked guide. Automated checks cover conversion factors, example results and invalid inputs. A model can still miss a practical detail; use the guide to decide whether its assumptions fit your situation.
